macOS takes its name from the Darwin operating system that it is based on. It became available with the introduction of iMac in 1998. macOS runs third party applications that have been developed using Apple’s Cocoa or Xcode development tops. It features a graphical user interface based on the Cocoa framework and is built on Darwin, the open-sourced operating system developed by Apple. It is designed to run on Macs as well as Apple devices such as iPhone, iPad, iPod Touch and Apple TV. and distributed in the Mac family of computers. MacOS is a Unix-based computer operating system developed by Apple Inc. It is headquartered in San Francisco, California, United States. It was launched in August 2013 after undergoing beta testing for two years. It was founded by Stewart Butterfield, Eric Costello, Cal Henderson and Serguei Mourachov in 2009. It is a desktop and mobile application that allows the users to communicate utilizing text, images, video and voice calls. It is a proprietary freeware with free and paid versions.
